One of the problems that women experience after pregnancy and have the hardest time changing is weight gain. Whether it be belly fat or fat that is dispersed over the whole body many women just can not get rid of the baby weight. If you do not exercise while you are pregnant your body will become flabby and your skin will become loose and it is going to be much harder to get in shape when you have a newborn baby keeping you busy all day and up all night. A lot of women also suffer at least slightly from post-partum blues or post-partum depression and that causes them to have the lack of motivation that it takes to eat right and work out. Sometimes a tummy tuck is needed later on to remove the loose skin and tighten the stomach muscles.
The best thing you can do to prevent being stuck with an excessive amount of post-pregnancy weight is to work out while you are pregnant. Even if you just walk a few times a week it is better than doing nothing. If you can manage to walk a little every day and work out your arms with some light weights you will be able to keep your metabolism up and drop the weight faster after you have your baby. It is a good idea to purchase a good jogging stroller so that you can go for walks after your baby is born.
Do not be upset if your baby will not stay in a stroller immediately after it is born because new born babies often crave the close contact of their mother and will not understand that you are still there with them unless you are holding them. There are exercises you can do from home while your baby is asleep though just buy some workout videos such as yoga which is a great low key way to get in shape.
